Life is Full

IMG_1398IMG_2467IMG_2728IMG_2795

Life these days is full; full of colour and light, full of laughter and a plea for help from a friend as a koala almost reveals more of me than expected.

It’s full of boat rides, sheltering from sea spray, of sunshine and holding hands.

It’s full of picnics and admiring the view.

It’s full of sunsets and sunrises, of endings and new beginnings.

What’s your life full of this week?

Thursday

Trees

The tree of life

From the roots, up the trunk, out to each branch and sub branch and leave and tiny little shoot, energy and information passed on. The life force pushing up and forced out, hundred of years of growth.

Up High in the Braches

My family, from the ancestors, stories and ideals passed along, branching out in various directions but still help together by the same roots, feeding our day to day lives.

Summertime is…

…taking the time to paddle in the sea

Patriotism? A Scottish Wedding

This past week we attended a wedding of friends, it was truly a lovely weekend. The best way to celebrate your Scottish roots at a wedding is by wearing your family tartan.

Scottish Kilts

Of course getting married in a historic building sure does help.

Scottish House

It also helps when you invite loads of Scottish friends who are sure to turn up in a selection of tartans on the day bring a lot more colour than most men would otherwise.

Scottish Kilts

Then ensure everyone complains about how unseasonable hot it is in Scotland, especially for those men wearing kilts!

P.S: When photographing men in kilts it’s always better to take a photo head to toe then crop later, otherwise you’ll get some funny looks…

Friday

Purple Rain Clouds

The sky so blue

Water appears purple

Against the creamy sand

Purple Sea

Suddenly it changes

Purple rain clouds come in

Heavily laden with drops

Purple Rain Clouds

Some brightness returns

A rainbow

Red through violet

Rainbow and Pilon

Nature, the weather

Beautiful

And out of control

Summer Flowers

Heart Flowers

So perfect white hearts

Return to me annually

I’m always grateful

Clematis Flowers

My Summer flowers

Bursts of colour from the green

Delicate beauties

Last Daffodil of 2011

My lonely last one

From a different season

We’ll see you next spring

Purple Flower

Burst open for sun

Come, come visit me creatures

Nectar just for you

Pink Droopy Flowers

Heavy with pollen

Warm sun, petals hanging low

Blowing in the breeze
