It’s supposed to be summer here, although it looks like Autumn or maybe early winter, nevertheless there is more daylight hours, so more hours to be filled. Here is my list of 30 things to do this summer, to try and convince myself it’s possible to have a little fun I’ve mixed up all the boring tasks with fun ones – odd numbers are boring and even numbers are fun.
- Install the dishwasher
- Stay up and watch the sunrise on the beach
- Throw out another 10 bags of stuff we don’t need
- Make Margaritas
- Paint our shower room
- Go on a road trip with my boy
- Install remaining light fittings – no more bare bulbs
- Visit my wee sister and her new house
- Clear out the garage
- Paddle in the sea
- Install a mirror in our shower room
- Summer dinner party
- Clean the oven
- Drink beer in a beer garden
- Weed the garden
- Go camping
- Cut the cats’ claws
- Go on holiday to France
- Go to the dentist
- Catch up with friends over coffee
- Hoover under the beds
- Have a BBQ
- Lay a patio
- Swim at the outdoor pool
- Empty boxes in the study
- Wear summer dresses and skirts
- Install a desk in the study
- Have a cheese and wine evening in the garden

Loved your throw 10 bags of stuff away. I should have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa, it's something I've been doing a lot over the past year, setting myself challenges for stuff to donate or to throw away, it's really made a difference although my house is still full of clutter!
ReplyDeleteYour list sounds heavenly! I bought stuff to make margaritas just the other day. This weekend's supposed to be hot...maybe the perfect time to mix up a cold one, on the rocks, with salt!
ReplyDeleteLove every one of those even numbers!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie,
ReplyDeleteI love the even numbers as well, perhaps I'll ignore the odd ones! Although we made great progress on getting our dishwasher installed last night which is something I know I'm going to love too!
Have a fabulous summer!
April
Hi Rubber Chicken Ma!
ReplyDeleteI've got margaritas on my mind since I returned from Texas where it was really hot, even though it's damp and rainy here, just a sip will remind me of sitting out on a warm evening.
Enjoy yours,
April
